The climate of the area is typically Meditterranean, characterized by mild rainy winters and hot dry
summers. The peculiarities of the soil , steep and rich in skeleton but poor in cultivated surface layer, 600
meters above sea level, give the oil a balanced taste, which is neither bitter, nor sweet, nor even spicy.
In this context the traditional techniques of production of oil have taken root and exalt the peculiarities of the oil we produce, that in fact reveals its marked typicalness.
All this factors combine to make this oil different in its organoleptic and chemical properties. Here lies the
secret of its unique taste.
Our area of production of extra virgin olive oil is part of the territory of Sicily. The PGI ( Protected Geographical
Indication)is the quality trademark granted by EU which qualifies our products that are identified according to certain
peculiarities linked to the territory and which complies with specific production directives that certify the “historical”
origin of the area.
The “Sicily brand” is synonym of quality all over the world and this has given us the opportunity to
increase trades with other countries.
